Your opinion on gun control?
It seems this topic
will be around for the better half of 2013. Just out of curiosity I'd like to
hear people's opinion on the matter.
If the world ever sees "true
peace," guns won't be of any use?
So you're saying that guns only have one use? Hmmm... Could have fooled me. First off, there will NEVER be "true peace" on this planet, or any other if we make it to the stars. That's because humans are naturally venal and immoral. You don't have to teach a child to be greedy or to try and push around other children. It happens, to varying degrees, in every child.
Second, guns aren't just for defense. Yes, that is one valid use for them. They're also for hunting, competition shooting, recreational shooting, and even just hobby collecting.
There should be no limitations on the Second Amendment. Criminals don't follow the law anyway, so why punish millions of responsible gun owners because a tiny subset of people who possess guns break the law?
